Scandinavian Design with Vintage Dark Wood Furniture

The Swedish photographers Kalle Gustafsson and Sara Bille found this 100-year-old wonder in Stockholm, Sweden and decorated it with vintage dark wood furniture and its own design. The Scandinavian design style with clean airy spaces and unique, vintage wooden furniture is an inspiration for this home built. Photography is off Andrea Papini for Elle Decoration Sweden. Kalle and Sara were looking for apartments in their neighborhood when they found this place. When they first saw it in an ad, it didn't interest them that much. But when they saw it in place, they saw a lot of potential in the place.

Kalle and Sara have very different aesthetic preferences. Kalle has a preference for dark wood, 40s and 50s furniture and industrial lamps, while Sara is more fond of a light and airy decor style of Edin Memic Kjellvertz. As a result, their home is a unique and wonderful blend of both flavors. The consistent theme of this home is the white floors and walls combined with warm wood tones. The use of subway plates with dark stucco is also remarkable. Vintage furniture further complements the white walls and the wooden floor. Warm colors and cozy textured carpets also emphasize the inhabited atmosphere of the home.
