When it comes to attending a friend’s wedding, some people are excited to have the opportunity to wear a nice dress that looks absolutely beautiful. At the same time, some ladies hate wearing dresses. They think it’s too feminine, or it doesn’t go well with their personality, or they just hate it. Then comes the headache, how can you as a guest dress appropriately for a wedding if you are not wearing a dress? Some of you may even just wear t-shirts and jeans every day. The good news is, even if you don’t like dresses, you can still look your best at your friend’s wedding. I’m about to share some of the best ideas for a no-dress wedding outfit with you.

Wearing a palazzo overalls is very suitable as a wedding guest. There are so many different types of palazzo overalls while some make you more boyish and stylish and others allow you to show off some skin. You can simply choose a sleeveless or short-sleeved long palazzo jumpsuit if you’d rather dress unisex. If you want to look more feminine and sexy, off-shoulder, low-back, or low-v-neck designs are great choices.

If you feel that a long jumpsuit is too formal and you prefer a more energetic look, wearing a romper to the wedding might be an idea you would like to have. A romper is similar to a short version of an overalls. It allows you to show off your legs and it makes you look a lot more refreshed, especially for outdoor weddings. Remember, don’t wear a romper that is too short as you are a guest and shouldn’t take all the limelight from the bride. Usually a white or black romper with a very subtle pattern works very well for weddings. You can look more stylish by adding more layers, whether it’s a vest or a jacket. For a more girly and cheerful look, a flowery romper is a good choice.

Because origami shorts have many layers, they look a lot like skirts. You can pair your origami shorts with all kinds of semi-formal tops that are usually paired with skirts. That should make you look appropriate and make you feel comfortable as a wedding guest.

You can wear paper bag shorts to the wedding if you pick the right one and pair it with the right top. Since paper bag shorts can be easy to be too casual, consider buying one that is made of a finer fabric and one that is less baggy. Combine the shorts with a formal and beautiful top. Dresses come to mind when it comes to wedding guest outfits because most of the pants we wear to work just don’t look right for weddings. But there are actually a lot of baggy pants that look beautiful and go perfectly with the wedding. It’s mostly about the fabric and the cutting that make them look so much better than the ones we wear to work. The wide trousers that you can wear to the wedding are made of fine fabric. They have a pretty tight cut at the top and a very loose cut at the bottom to make your legs look so slim and long. I think that both solid color pants and flower pants are very suitable for weddings.

Remember, skinny jeans aren’t suitable for weddings, no matter how good they make you look. I think the main reason is that you don’t want the bride to think that you are not respecting the weddings by wearing jeans. They just don’t want the slightest chance of making the bride unhappy. On the other hand, slim pants or slim-fitting pants are suitable, especially if you combine them with a nice and formal top like the picture above.

If you’re the type who prefers to wear a suit because you are so used to wearing it for work every day, how about wearing a lace top under your blazer to make the overall look less serious and to make it more suitable for weddings.
Khaki pants with pastel top for the wedding
Khaki pants can be too casual, but they can look decent enough for weddings when you pair them with a nice pastel top. As you can see in the picture above, a nice jacket and pair of heels can improve the look a lot.
The ideas above are all great outfit ideas when you’re not ready to wear a dress for your friend’s wedding. But if your only reason is because you’re not used to wearing dresses, or if you don’t want to be judged by people, I highly recommend getting out of your comfort zone as it is really much fun wearing a nice dress than Wedding guest. You are sure to have fun. There is nothing wrong with looking good.
After sharing a lot of great ideas for wedding guest outfits, my personal favorite (when dress is not an option) is the palazzo jumpsuit. I think it’s the safest option because for other ideas you really have to work hard to combine the top and bottom to see unclothed ones. If it’s for an outdoor wedding, my personal favorite would be the rompers as it’s more refreshing.
