1. Textiles
In small apartments with
narrow bathroom
it is better to try to avoid screaming and for thick colors in textiles and finishes for large curtains, tablecloths, bed covers. Your strict selection must pass a calm, compact and discreet shade, such as white, beige, gray, dark wine, brown, graphite. For example, in a small bedroom it is better to use lighter shades and if there are not enough bright spots, choose one or two accent colors and buy in the range of pillows or a small mat.
2. Lighting
If the room is small and poorly lit, it is not necessary to prevent the penetration of natural light, hanging by windows with heavy curtains or blinds. Double can light up with a mirror: it will reflect light and make the space visually larger. Also choose small but lovely with cold lights or pale yellow, soft light. It can be laconic pendants, lamps or floor lamps.
3. Furniture
The furniture in should be comfortable and ergonomic, and if they do not look clumsy and heavy, a small room will appear more cozy and spacious. So, closed cabinets protect things well from dust, but in a small apartment there are logically fewer of these things.
Open shelves and racks without doors will visually take up less space and will eat up less light, but will also motivate you to keep order. Invest in today’s mobile, modular sofa and furniture with storage space – the room will be much more functional.
4. Decor
The decor in the form of flat compact photo collages or paintings – surprisingly one of the most effective ways to add to your interior individuality without sacrificing space. Avoid having lots of figures on the shelves and racks, and think of simplicity and minimalism. Small objects to hide out of sight, hidden in baskets or how to create a cozy atmosphere. This simple rule helps make the interior surprisingly light and unobstructed.
